Junior Project Manager

About the role:

At AgileCadence we believe that it is our people that make us special. We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to be responsible for the project governance, team support and financial adherence of our delivery projects. You will be our ‘go-to’ person on your allocated projects, managing the entire project life cycle and working closely with our customers to deliver outstanding customer service every day. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with our team and customers. We will make sure you receive mentoring and hands-on training to help develop you and your career in project management.

 

You will be:

  • The ‘go-to’ person on your allocated projects. Monitoring and reporting on progress and ensuring that all milestones are delivered on time.
  • Responsible for project governance of the entire project life cycle, ensuring that it is aligned with AgileCadence’s structure and decision-making processes and that roles, responsibilities and accountabilities within the project are well defined.
  • Responsible for tracking financial performance against the project budget, identifying any risks and issues, and ensuring that procedures are in place to manage costs.
  • Working closely with senior managers and providing team leadership and support on your projects to stakeholders.
  • Providing regular project reports to the practice leadership, ensuring that key stakeholders are up to date on progress of your projects.
  • Working closely with our customers, acting as a key point of contact on your allocated projects and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Supported by management and receive mentoring and practical hands-on training to develop you and your career in Project Management, we will help you to be the best you can be.

About you:

  • You ideally hold project management certification (PRINCE2, Scrum, PMI, etc.). If you do not hold any certification, then you possess knowledge of and a good understanding of key project management methodologies.
  • You ideally have a minimum of 1-2 years hands-on project experience.
  • You are passionate about progressing into a project management career and are keen to learn and develop.
  • You ideally have experience in or an understanding of software development and delivery.
  • You have experience in MS Office, MS Dynamics and Azure DevOps.
  • You are highly organised with the ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise workload, with multiple conflicting demands.
  • You have superb spoken and written communication skills, and a passion for working with people.
  • You have excellent presentation and demonstration skills.
  • You have a confident, professional approach, with the ability to lead and focus on delivering great solutions.
  • You are customer focused – you work hard to understand our customers’ needs, always striving to deliver the best service and exceed expectations.
  • You are resilient, practical and a real self-starter; you are comfortable working on your own and as part of a team.
  • You are willing to travel to client locations across the UK/Europe as required (when restrictions allow).
